The music production company Rotana has set next week to be the time when it will release the latest and last album by Lebanese singer Najwa Karam. The new album is mainly in the traditional Lebanese style and the singer has worked with a number of prominent Lebanese poets and composers to complete the work.

According to the London based Elaph, this album will mark Najwa's last album with Rotana according to a contract she has with them, which will be terminated after the release. It is still unclear whether or not Najwa will renew her contract but according to different sources the possibility is very rare. Her upcoming album consists of seven songs.

Najwa stressed that she will never again film any of her songs in the form of a music video. Najwa’s decision came after the failure of her last music video for the song “Iw’a Itkoun Za’ilit” (I Hope Your are not Upset), which did not witness any interest among viewers or even herself.

In a private interview held with Tony (Najwa's brother), he revealed two hidden secrets that he has been keeping for some time. The first confession that Tony made was regarding the marital status of his sister Najwa. Tony admitted that the previous rumors of Najwa's divorce are in fact true and she has been separated from her husband, Yousef Harb, for the past nine months.

Tony also revealed that he owns a beautiful voice one that would have made a successful singer out of him, but he decided not to bring it out wanting to concentrate on his sister's success.

Karam made her debut in the music world in 1985, with her participation in “Layali Lobnan” (Nights of Lebanon) performing Asmahan’s song “Layali Al Ons” (Nights of Pleasure). She was awarded the program’s Golden Medal for her outstanding performance at the event. – Albawaba.com
