Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has refused to accept a letter from three Israeli peace missions, who attended a private press conference she held before her concert at the Jordanian annual summer festival Jarash. The three had told Nancy that they hold a letter for her from the children of Palestine in addition to Jewish ones, but the other journalists at the conference asked Nancy not to accept the letter and not to cooperate with them.
According to the Middle East Online, it was revealed that Jordanian journalists along with others from around the Arab world refused to hold discussions with Israelis who came to attend the events of Jarash. The Israelis introduced themselves as part of a peace mission striving to find peace and security between Palestinians and Israelis, but all their attempts to make contact with people failed.
Ajram has proven that she is a successful singer with every meaning of the word after her recent performance at the Jordanian annual summer festival Jarash. The singer also proved that she is not a mere seductive performer in video clips, but is a very talented person whom people of different ages and gender came anxiously to hear her sing.
Nancy’s concert in Jarash was very successful in the sense that she was very wise in approaching her audience and made it a point not to commit the same mistake as her colleague Lebanese singer Alissa, whose performance at Jarash was marked with failure. Alissa had used the Play Back technique in her performance and was very rigid with her audience the matter that made everyone angry and regret going to watch her.
Nancy had taken into account that the way she acts on stage will be the marker of her success and so she rehearsed her songs over and over before her concert to make sure that her appearance is perfect. Nancy also wanted to show the audience that she respects them enough not do the play back technique with them, which basically means moving your lips with the music. -Albawaba.com
