Egyptian actress Nashwa Mustafa has recently wrapped up shooting her role in the film Fallah Fil Congress (farmer in the congress) in which pop singer Shaaban Abdel Rahim costars along with her under the direction of Fahmi al Sharqawi.

“In the film I play the role as a girl whose mental growth stops at the age of 10 making her to behave like children,” Nashwa told the daily al Hayat, adding that she thought this character involved much comedy.

The actress has also wrapped up shooting her role in the film Allenbi in which Mohammed Saad, Hala Shiha, Abla Kamel play starring roles under the direction Wael Hassan. “In this film I play as a pop dancer, who has humanitarian feeling and special philosophy in the world of dancing,” said Nashwa, adding that both films would be screened this summer.

Nashwa possesses unique comedy capabilities but she believes they have not been properly exploited. “Directors have not used the instinctive comedy in me. Despite my delight with the films I played in, I believe I could have been better made use of particularly in view of the fact that I depend on the comic performance rather than stating funny statements. This type of comedy needs more efforts than depending on jokes,” said Nashwa.

About her future, Nashwa said, “I am seeking a status and value because these are more important than seeking false stardom. Art means to me an objective, content and respect.” – Albawaba.com
