If you like edgy “women in uniform” then you need to check out Ruby's upcoming movie “Al Harami Wal Abeet” (The Thief and the Idiot).
The gutsy songstress plays a naughty corrupt nurse who gets intimate with different men, and if that's not enough to get Arab tongues wagging, she sells patients' organs in the black market.
But not everyone is on board with Ruby's controversial movie role. In fact, the head of the Nurses Union in Egypt accused the film makers of defaming the profession of nurses.
According to Sayidaty.net, head of medical Union slammed the film makers for casting the “honorable and difficult” profession of nurses in a negative and insulting manner.
The Union is even threatening protests until the movie is withdrawn from all cinemas or at least have the “demeaning” acts censored. Does it really have to come to that? Clearly they're not paying enough attention to all the racy music video clips that are pouring out of the Arab world.
We don't get what all the fuss is about! Ruby and her fellow actors are simply following a script. It's just a film, people!
