Lebanese singer Nicole Saba has expressed her disappointment at the negative image the media has presented of her, depicting her as a provocative singer who depends solely on her looks and sexual appeal to maintain her popularity.

Now she is trying to build her career without using her looks, which ushered her into the spotlight, Nicole explained.

According to the Saudi based daily, Al Riyadh, Nicole believes recent music videos for female Lebanese singers have given the average Lebanese woman a bad name, and has led the public to believe most Lebanese as singers depend on their sexuality to achieve fame.

Nicole affirmed that Lebanese women have a lot more to offer than their sexuality, and hopes this talent will extend to their singing careers.

After her success in the film “Al Tajruba Al Denmarkia” (A Dutch Experience), Nicole has received numerous offers to star in other Egyptian and international films. Nicole revealed that the rumor she will be costarring alongside well-known American actress Demi Moore in a new film is true, but elucidated that the project has been postponed due to the current political climate in Lebanon.

Nicole will be holding work sessions with the producer of the film, who is originally Lebanese but resides in the United States, to gain a better understanding of her upcoming role. She will play a police officer, fluent in French and English, and the scenes will be filmed between the US and France.

Nicole has made a final decision to shift her entertainment career from Beirut to Cairo. The singer has bought an apartment in the Al Maadi district, and plans to reside there with her mother on a permanent basis. Nicole stated that she will occasionally visit Beirut, but feels Cairo is more suitable for her career, since most of her recording takes place there along with her numerous roles in Egyptian films.
