Lebanese singer Nicole Saba denied recent accusations that she insulted the men and women of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution after a video of her was released asking to give power to the elected head of Parliament.

Wael Al Masri, Nicole’s business manager stated that he does not know why the accusations were made against the singer. He stated that the truth of the matter was that during a visit to Egypt, Nicole was walking near Tahrir Square, where a demonstration was taking place and demonstrators had requested she takes part in it. Wael noted that Nicole agreed to take part in the demonstration to show her love and support to Egypt and its people and that she considers herself to be one of them.

Nicole had recorded a statement that lasted for 18 seconds to show her support. Wael said that he does not understand how her sign of good gesture was turned against her.

Many considered Nicole’s participation as interference in Egyptian internal affairs and she being a Lebanese should not have done so.
