ALBAWABA - Dispatch fans were recently left confused and frustrated after learning that the game was heavily censored on the Nintendo Switch 2, causing a stream of refunds and complaints on social media.

Released in late 2025, AdHoc's game was received positively for having an excellent storyline, well-written characters, and top-tier voice acting from Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, and Erin Yvette. The game also blew up in popularity for featuring YouTubers Cr1TiKaL and Jacksepticeye as voice actors.

According to Dexerto, while Dispatch was well-received, its Nintendo Switch 2 port left fans frustrated. Fans were quick to notice that AdHoc's game was heavily censored on Nintendo's newest console, with no option for opting out, including bleeped-out curse words, muted sounds, and blurred body parts.

A frustrated fan wrote, "this makes no sense??? nintendo has hundreds of switch & switch 2 games that contain nudity, swearing and gore."

They added, "cyberpunk, bayonetta, mortal kombat, GTA 1- 3, the  walking dead, all those japanese “fan service” games on the eShop. what makes dispatch any different?"

Another wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "To anybody that wasn't pleased with the recently released version of #dispatch for the Switch, I encourage you all to contact Nintendo Support and ask for a well-deserved refund."

Players on the PC and PS5 ports were given a choice to censor nudity, other crude content, and copyrighted music, which can be beneficial to content creators and streamers.

While many blamed Nintendo for censoring the game, an X user shared a Discord screenshot from a user who claimed AdHoc reportedly decided to censor Dispatch on Nintendo consoles.

Smash JT wrote, "Rumors lending credence to @theAdHocStudio were the ones behind the Dispatch censorship of THEIR OWN GAME releasing on Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and NOT @NintendoAmerica."
