The show’s over, but the drama carries on. Hani Ramzi’s canceled MBC show “Al Layla Ma Hani” (Tonight with Hani) is still haunting the Egyptian comedian after he revealed that the Muslim Brotherhood has been sending him death threats for his criticism whilst on the show.
One canceled show and many death threats aren't stopping him from still airing his opinions live. During an interview on the CBC show "Jar Shakil", the actor dished out all the deets on many celebrities who had changed their beliefs in support of Mohammad Morsi for personal gains, contradicting everything they had fought for in the January 25th revolution.
According to Laha Magazine, Hani said that the Egyptian people had reached total despair before ousting Morsi, which led him to know that Morsi would not last.
He may not be contradicting his political stance, but Hani also has something to take back. He made an official apology to Ahmad Al Baradei, Egypt's sworn in Vice President, after he had accused him of playing as puppet for the USA. Now he knows he is truly a patriotic man and hopes he accepts his apology. Hani also described Al Azhar Shaykh Dr. Ahmad Al Tayeb as a great man.
While his hope for Egyptian politics is now somewhat optimistic, his thoughts on the film industry are less than hopeful. He claims the film industry has been buried alive by pirating to the point that films are bootlegged from the first day they are screened.
