After three months of intense fighting, that even got the court involved, Lutfi took matters into his own hands with a big gesture for a big apology.
A huge TV screen in one of Cairo's busiest streets played the public apology from a "desperate" Lutfi to Olfat.
The message read, "Ahmad Lutfi: I apologise to my dear wife Olfat Omar. I love you."
Oh, boy, he must have really messed up for him to resort to this!
Nevertheless, it worked. The estranged couple have now kissed and made up thanks to Lutfi's bright idea of an apology!
Thousands of passersby saw - and loved - the advert. Hundreds of social media users gave Lutfi the thumbs up for his adorable gesture.
