The Dubai Concert Committee is excited for its World Classical Music series, and it’s now added Marlis Petersen and Camillo Radicke to its tally of achievements.

Marlis Petersen is a world-renowned soprano, who learned both piano and flute before becoming an opera singer—one of the world’s most popular. She trained at the New York City Dance School in Stuttgart before taking the Nuremberg Opera in 1994, playing roles in works like The Magic Flute and The Bat. She followed this up with a six year stint at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf-Duisburg.

But her most famous role is perhaps as the eponymous heroine in Alban Berg’s Lulu; her debut in the role took place at the Vienna State Opera.

Her ensembles include the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Deutsches Sinfonie-Orchester, the Radio Orchestra of Berlin as well as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra…the list does go on.

Camillo Radicke is a great pianist, having first secured his reputation by winning first prizes at various competitions worldwide. A constant companion of René Bass’s, he often plays at recitals at the Met and Scala in Milan.

The show will take place at One & Only Royal Mirage, from 8-10pm. Tickets start at Dh250 (approx. $68).
