The 43-year-old actor shares an eight-year-old son Flynn with his first wife Miranda Kerr, though the actor told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon he can't wait for his daughter to arrive.
While Perry and Bloom have not shared when their baby is due, there has been speculation she could give birth later this month.
'I'm so excited to have a little daddy's girl. I hope she's gonna love me as much as I love her,' the British actor began.
'But that daddy-girl thing, you know, and that love of your life feeling is I think right around there, you know,' Bloom added.
Fallon, the father of two girls himself - seven-year-old Winnie and five-year-old Francis - offered, 'the feeling is what everyone tells you.'
Fallon added it's the 'best thing in the world' to watch them grow up, while Bloom added that his son Flynn is excited to have a sister.
'He's got a couple of other brothers, but this is his first sister, so he's excited,' Bloom said, referring to Kerr's sons Hart, 2, and Myles, 10 months, with husband Evan Spiegel, the co-founder of Snapchat.
Bloom also opened up about his life in quarantine, adding that the time off gave him some 'real solace.'
'To be honest it's been... so I was working a lot and I found some real solace, I think it's kind of a reset that we all needed,' Bloom said.
He added that the quarantine was, 'a chance to reflect on what's important and what we've been doing, and I just hope we can keep that thinking and it can continue.'
The Carnival Row star added that he is 'incredibly blessed,' while Fallon started asking about the shelves of toy cars behind him.
Bloom said all of those cars were made by him and his son Flynn through 'hours of quarantine,' adding he 'kind of found it reassuring.'
He added that they, 'started with the silver Porsche up here, and I got so into it,' more so than his son.
'He would be like, "Dad, I'm going to bed" and I'm like "Just another 15 minutes,' Bloom joked.
