Prosecutor of the second department of Sheikh Zayed in Giza Governorate, north of Egypt, decided to imprison producer and former manager of Lebanese artist Haifa Wehbe, Mohammed Waziri, for 4 days pending an investigation on charges of theft and fraudulence.
Yasser Kantoush, Haifa Wehbe's lawyer, said that Waziri attended along with his lawyer in the case "Suhad Imam," confirming that the decision to imprison him came after validating all evidence that he stole private funds from his client estimated in millions of pounds.
Haifa Wehbe had appealed to the Egyptian Ministry of Justice about what she called "intransigence" against her from a police officer, who refused to prove that her former business manager, Mohammed Waziri, stormed her villa in Egypt.
Haifa had previously decided to sue her former business manager Mohammed Waziri accusing him of stealing and seizing up to one million dollars, due to the power of attorney in his possession to dispose of the contracts for Haifa's concerts and art work, given her continuous presence in Lebanon and her confidence in him to manage her work.
