So the latest trend in the music industry is to release singles rather than whole music albums! Lebanese superstar Pascal Mashaalani is following in the footsteps of fellow singers and is about to bring out a new song titled “Nabgheek” (I Want You).
The song will have a different flavor than her other music, as she will be singing it in an Algerian accent, rather than with her native Lebanese one.
However, according to Laha Magazine, this isn't the first time Pascal will be singing in the Franco-Arab style, where in the past she released the songs "Dandani" and "Al Firqa Saeeba," which have won numerous awards in Tunisia and Morocco.
But Pasacal isn't sticking to the trend for too long, as she revealed her plans for wanting to make a strong comeback to her traditional style of singing Khaliji (Gulf) songs with a new album sung solely in the Gulf accent.
All songs will be written by song poet Su'ud Al Sharbatli. With that being said, the album will feature one song in the Iraqi dialect; a first attempt by Pascal.
In other news, Pascal has recently filmed a music video for the song "Ahlam Al Banat" (Girls' Dreams), but before releasing the video she wanted it edited and requested director Joe Bou Eid to remove some of the scenes that she felt may stir up controversy and negative criticism.
Well, why would you film those scenes if you knew they were controversial in the first place? Joe removed his name from the video stating that he wants nothing to do with it! Why aren't we surprised?
