ALBAWABA - According to inside sources, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have refused an offer to spend Christmas at Princess Diana's ancestral house, Althorp, owing to security fears for their children.

Sandringham, the royal family's December gathering place, would reportedly warmly welcome them. Another option is to visit the Althorp mansion of Princess Diana's relatives, the Spencers.

Prince Harry has already said in an interview that the Sussexes are wary about exposing their children to what they see as a potentially hazardous scenario in the United Kingdom.

Harry, on the other hand, has made many trips to the UK since leaving the royal family in 2020, while Meghan hasn't been seen there since the Queen's burial in 2022. Although she has been reluctant to come due to security concerns, a critic has speculated that this would change if she wants her children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Liliber, 3, to meet their cousins, as reported by express.co.uk.

According to Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward, who spoke to Fabulous, the Duchess of Sussex likely has unfavorable sentiments about returning to the UK. I find it challenging to comprehend your desire to go back to a country where everyone despises you.

The security issue remains unresolved, and Harry asserts he won't return with his wife and children until he secures his position. "The children are growing up, and I imagine they are quite curious to learn about their cousins' personalities, so I can see how Harry and Meghan's family life may be complicated," she stated.

"They wouldn't remember them." As Seward points out, "I believe that an invitation from Charles Spencer might be appealing, and they would have the opportunity to meet other cousins." Despite the icy relationship between Harry and William, it is probable that they will spend time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Although Seward admits that "hunkering down" in California over the holidays is "more their style," she still thinks that the couple might one day return to Britain for Christmas.
