South Korean pop star Psy will perform in the Muslim country of Indonesia at a concert celebrating diplomatic ties between the two countries, his management agency said Saturday.
The performance -- which will not be staged as a solo concert -- will mark Psy's first visit to Indonesia, the Jakarta Globe reported.
The "Gangnam Style" singer will perform July 6 at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Jakarta as part of "Korea-Indonesia Friendship Year 2013," the newspaper said.
"Psy was invited to the event to celebrate 40 years of close ties between Korea and Indonesia," YG Entertainment said in a news release.
Psy, whose real name is Park Jae-sang, is currently in the United States promoting his new single, "Gentleman," the Yonhap News Agency reported.
