Dubai Network Channel’s Arabic language reality TV show,Fashion Star, concluded its first season on Wednesday 6th April. Arwa Alammari, a female fashion designer from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the winner of the show. She won an exclusive AED 500,000 deal with NAMSHI.COM and will have her creations exclusively sold through the online web portal.
Over the first season of Fashion Star, Arwa was a part of Ramzi Tabiat’s team of designers, and was able to develop a creative and dynamic style that has become uniquely her own. NAMSHI.COM announced that the nine-piece collection is being modelled by highly acclaimed model Kamila Wawrzyniak, who has previously worked with top fashion brands such as John Galliano, Christian Dior, Elie Saab, GUESS and the famous Vivienne Westwood.
In the final episode of the season Reem Acra handed out the final challenge to the competitors, giving them their hardest design test to date – to create six pieces around the concept of ‘Dress to Impress’ together with each designer getting a diamond set for the runway show.
Fashion Star’s 10th episode gave the judges and competitors a good chance to look back at all the fun times they experienced, as well as their favourite designs, with host Leila Ben Khalifa paying a surprise visit to the finalists at their workshop and extending her warm well wishes with a special show that was close to the hearts of the contestants.
In Fashion Star, 12 contestants competed over a 10 episode reality TV show to win an exclusive deal with NAMSHI.COM worth AED 500,000. Produced by Dubai Channels Network, a part of Dubai Media Incorporated, Fashion Star gave Arabic designers the chance to compete in front of internationally acclaimed icons of the fashion world, including Reem Acra, Hanaa Ben Abdesslem, Ramzi Tabiat and TV presenter Leila Bin Khalifa.
