While the world is still coming to terms with Bruce Jenner's recent sex change, Egyptian TV host Basma Wahbe brought the Arab world's attention to their very own transsexual star!
In a controversial episode of Wahbe's TV show "Hiyya Mish Fawda" (It's Not Chaos), she accused Lebanese bombshell Raghad Salame of having had her sex changed as a teenager.
According to Wahbe, Raghad's real name is "Sameer Salame," and has decided to become a woman in his late teens.
The persistent presenter told her viewers that "Sameer" had his life-changing surgery in Thailand, after which he married three powerful businessmen without their prior knowledge of his original gender, Al Watan Voice reported.
Wahbe has some serious balls saying all this, especially that Raghad was a guest on her show when she did it. Naturally, Raghad denied the allegations and later accused her of sneakily drawing her in to the show in order to throw accusations at her.
However, Wahbe was sure of the authenticity of her story, that in a follow-up episode she presented viewers at home with several photos of who she claimed to be "Sameer Salame."
Raghad could have saved herself the embarrassment by taking a test to prove that she has a womb.
She was offered one during her guest appearance on Wahbe's show yet she refused to take it without an explanation; that arose Wahbe and her guests' suspicions.
Days later, Raghad appeared on MBC Masr with a test proving that she indeed has a womb. As expected, Wahbe accused her of forging the test results, Menara news reported.
Wahbe defended her show by calling it "a professional production that wouldn't accuse people of something without carrying out a full and thorough investigation first."
