With the Palestinian Kufiyyah on his shoulders, the Lebanese singer Ragheb Alameh sang Sunday evening at Cairo TV Nights his new song Bi Auloo Nihna al Sabab (They Say We Are the Reason) composed by him and written by Tony Karam.

The two singers Diana Haddad and Shireen Wajdi participated with Alameh and the proceeds to be generated will go to the victims of the Israeli massacres in Palestine. The renowned singer is seeking partners to perform a series of concerts in many Arab cities in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Alameh who frequently moves between Cairo and Beirut has postponed all his activities due to the catastrophic circumstances and has cancelled many concerts prescheduled in Lebanon and other Arab countries. He also halted wrapping up his new album, which was in its last stage.

Earlier Ragheb recorded his song Bi Auloo Nihna al Sabab, which refuses the responsibility for terrorism by Arabs. The idea was implemented by Arman Azar and Ragheb Alameh who participated in selecting the scenes accompanying the song.

“I tried to select the least bloody and catastrophic scenes so that the song will be balanced in consistency with the difficult circumstances which the Palestinians are facing,” Alameh told the daily al Hayat.

He added, “the scene of a wounded man is not the same as singing about it because a wound is more expressing than art.” -- Albawaba.com
