ALBAWABA - In a surprising twist for the Ramadan 2026 drama season, Syrian actress Muna Wassef will sing the theme song for the Syrian series "Mawlana".
Not only will she perform the theme song of the Ramadan series, but Wassef is also co-starring along with Taim Hassan, Nour Ali, and Fares Al-Helou. The "Mawlana" series is written by Lubna Haddad and directed by Samer Al-Barkawi.
The director posted the series' theme song poster on his official Instagram account, commenting: "On your birthday, you gave us a gift, before we could give you one... May our oak tree [Wassef's nickname] live a long life."
Wassef was 20 years old when she became a model, traveling outside her hometown of Damascus, embodying the spirit of young women who defied societal norms at the time and entered fields and professions rarely pursued by women.
