News sources have confirmed that the board of directors of the production company ‘Rotana’ has unanimously agreed to sue prominent UAE singer Hussein Al Jasmi. It was said that Hussein had broken the terms of the contract between him and ‘Rotana’ when he released a number of singles and selling them to different radio stations without getting prior consent from the company.

Hussein had stressed that he is very convinced with what he did and does not believe he is at fault, especially since releasing the singles was something he benefited from.

Negotiations between Hussein and officials at the company reached a dead end, leading ‘Rotana’ to take legal actions against Hussein and filed a lawsuit. ‘Rotana’ had attempted to reach some kind of middle grounds with Hussein to avoid legal actions but to no avail.

Close contacts to the singer stated that Hussein was forced to produce a number of singles financed by him due to the fact that the company kept delaying the release of his album. Hussein had stated that he had to release new songs to sing at concerts he had scheduled for it is not logical to keep singing old songs from the album that was released in 2009. This fact forced Hussein to act in such a manner to protect his fame and expectations of his fans.
