No, this was not a scene from one of Egyptian actor Ahmed el Sakka's films; the action hero did really rescue a baby girl from a dumpster this week!
No details were given as to how he found the abandoned baby, but Ahmed posted a picture of her on Facebook in the hopes of finding her parents.
And find them he did, with the help of his loyal fans, who communicated with the person the poor child was staying with.
At the time, Ahmed's Facebook plea read, "Guys, I've found this girl in a dumpster in Shubra with a broken waist hands. Everyone, please share her photo... maybe this girl was kidnapped."
According to Laha magazine, the message also read, "Would anyone with information about the girl's parents please call this number 01098858049 to contact the person the baby is currently staying with."
All it took was two days to find the lost baby's parents. Ahmed profusely thanked his fans for their efforts, and in a FB message said, "Thank God, with your great efforts and support the baby girl has returned safely to her parents. Unfortunately, her family is facing several problems but they're now being investigated."
The baby is currently at the Arab Contractors Medical Center, where she's being treated for her injuries. She will remain there until her family has been fully investigated, reported Al Quds Al Arabi.
Meanwhile, Sakka is already in action getting his show "Thahab Wa Awdah" (Going and Coming) ready for Ramadan.
