Egyptian singer Rubi may perform a new patriotic song.
Rubi shelved her seductive style of singing for awhile and began performing more traditional versions of longer Arabic songs, with a slower tempo.
Many have criticized Rubi’s new style of singing, claiming that it does not suit her.
Rubi responded to the criticism, asserting that she is Egyptian and Arab.
“I am an artist and I have the right to express my culture,” said Rubi.
