The film “Sabe’ Warakat Koshina” (Seven Playing Cards) starring controversial Egyptian singer Ruby has been voted the worse film for 2004, being classified as shallow and simply stupid. The singer had presented a number of songs and dances in the film that was directed and produced by her business manager Sharif Sabri.
According to the Jordanian daily, Al Ghad, the Internet site MSNA a public poll was done for worse films and Ruby’s film won first place bringing in 1783 votes out of 3420. The film “<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Alexandria New York” starring prominent Egyptian actress Yusra came in second place with 397 votes.
Recently, the latest addition to the music world Egyptian starting singer Kooky, who is the younger sister of Ruby, has managed to cut a deal with director Ahmad Yusry to direct her first music video. Yusry is known to specialize in producing very seductive music videos and is the one who directed the clips for seductive Tunisian singer Najla.
Kooky had turned to Yusry after director Sharif Sabri, who is also her sister’s business manager, refused to cooperate with her due to his preoccupation with Ruby’s career.
