Rum Musical Troupe: Orient spirit meets with West technology

The Jordanian composer and founder of Rum Musical Troupe Tareq al Naser is gearing up for Souq Okath Festival 2002 which will kick off in Amman in the middle of July and continues for one week. 

Naser is considered the first Arab artist who set a new vision for photographic music for the Arab modern drama productions based on a music vision that has the spirit of the east and technology of the west. This vision secured big interest in all the artistic milieus for its apparent influence on critics and music lovers throughout the Arab World and abroad. 

Naser told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), “my most important works are the sound tracks for the prominent Arab drama series directed by the Jordanian director Najdat Anzur.” 

“The style adopted by Rum Troupe reflects the in depth musical expression about Jordan location as Jordan with its historical structure represents a human aggregates with the civilizations of Nabatis, Romans, Arabs and Muslims,” said Naser. 

He added, “the participation of the troupe in the local, Arab and international festivals in Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Italy and France has enhanced its aspirations because all its works secured admiration and remained in the minds of the audience. For the first time, the Italian City of Avetzano kept awake until sunrise to enjoy the cadences of an Arab musical troupe, which gained appreciation from thousands of Italians who attended the show -- Albawaba.com
