Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds urged young people in his home country this week to stop partying amid the coronavirus pandemic.
British Columbia Premier, John Horgan, called on the “Deadpool” actor for assistance in getting young people in the Canadian province to abide by government-enforced precautionary measures to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
We need young people to understand that now is not the time to go to large parties. @VancityReynolds & @Sethrogen - please help spread the message to stop the spread of #COVID19. pic.twitter.com/u9SodpRnxu

The 43-year-old star quickly responded to Horgan’s message and said: “Young folks in BC, they’re partying, which is, of course, dangerous. They probably don’t know that thousands of people are not only getting sick from coronavirus, they’re also dying from it, too. And, of course, it’s terrible that it affects our most vulnerable.”
“My mom, she doesn’t want to be cooped up in her apartment all day… I hope that young people in BC don’t kill my mom or David Suzuki (a Canadian academic) — or each other. Like, let’s not kill anyone, I think that’s reasonable,” he added in his 90-minute voice message.
