Lebanese diva Sabah has denied recent circulating rumors that she is bankrupt and was forced to sell her home and all her personal possessions including her dresses. The singer admitted to having sold her apartment before she went to the United States, but stated that she did that because the apartment was too big for her and needed large sums of money to keep it.
According to the Saudi based daily, Okaz, Sabah stressed that she is not facing a difficult financial situation, on the contrary she does not need anyone to support her and has always been the one who supported so many people financially.
It was rumored that Sabah came back to Beirut heartbroken and frustrated. The reason of this is due to the fact that she had to sell her house and her dresses, which she was hoping to sell at an auction, because of the hard financial situation she is going through.
Sabah who lived all her life in luxury did not think to save some of the money she was earning during the years of her career, in addition to being cheated and robbed by some of the closest people to her. Rumors had it that one of her friends will be paying for her stay in the hotel and some friends will be giving her some dresses like her former designer William Khouri. Sabah will be living in the Comfort Hotel in Hazmieh after she had to sell everything she owns. She chose to come back to live beside her brother and sister actress Lamia Faghali who is starting to suffer from old age too.
It was added that the legendary singer is feeling deep sadness after failing in fixing her relationship with her daughter Huwaida who is currently living in Los Angeles. Huwaida could not forgive her mother for what she did to her when she was growing up. Sabah had neglected her daughter while she was enjoying her years of glory and did not care about her daughter's feelings when she went on marrying and divorcing.
Sabah had previously asked one of her granddaughters to place poison in her food if she ever thought of falling in love or getting married again, after her last experience with Lebanese model Amr Mihio, which came to an expected end. The singer, who is in her nineties, had obviously gone back on her decision of never being involved with another man and is has entered a new relationship.
The singer still has many male admirers, who dream of getting involved with her. The latest admirer, who had fell in Sabah’s net is Era Calvin, owner of a very prestigious restaurant in Los Angeles California, which has also become the current resident of the singer. Era had repeatedly asked Sabah to hold numerous performances in his restaurant, which were all marked with significant success.
