After a long absence from the scenes, Lebanese diva Sabah arrived in Cairo earlier this week and was greeted by a crowd of journalists and a folkloric band to welcome her in Egypt. Sabah had come to Egypt to attend a special dinner held by the cast and crew of the television drama “Al Shahrourah”, which is about the life of Sabah.
Sabah had remained at the event for over two hours and took memorable photographs with most of those present.
The fact that Sabah attended the special dinner held signifies that recent rumors about her dissatisfaction with the drama and her disappointment at the writer of the drama for making up events from his head, which in reality never occurred, are not true.
Rumors also had it that Sabah and Lebanese diva Faiouz had both filed a lawsuit against the makers of the drama stating that it insulted them and their prestigious history as great artists. The producing company of the drama strongly denied such rumors and stated that there are no lawsuits against the drama from any side.
The event was organized by Lebanese producer Sadeq Al Sabah, who is the producer of the drama. Most of the cast and crew who took part in the drama attended the event, in addition to the Lebanese Ambassador in Cairo, Egyptian actresses Ghada Adel, Hala Sidqi, Liqa Al Khameesi, Liqa Suwaidan, Hanan Imtawi’ and Jordanian singer Diana Karazon.
