The Syrian actress Safa Sultan is filming her scenes for the new television drama series “Qalbi Dalili” (My Heart Tells Me So) about the late music artist Laila Murad.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, Safa’s filming schedule has been accelerated to have the new series ready for the upcoming Ramadan season.
Safa considers the new role to be the golden chance to launch her acting career from Cairo.
Safa said that being nominated for the role was a great surprise for her, not just to play the leading role of the series, but also to play a personality that was loved in Egypt and throughout the Arab world. She also revealed that as soon as she found out that she was nominated for the role she gathered all information about the late artist and how she was a great music artist and outstanding actress.
Safa said that the new series “Qalbi Dalili” presents a positive view of the late artist. The series starts from the beginning of her life until she retired.
