Salma Al Masri betting on “The Piles Of Rocks”

Famous Syrian actress Salma Al Masri will bet greatly on her role in the new drama series “Kom Al Hajar” (Piles of Rocks). The series, which is being filmed at the moment is directed by Radwan Shaheen and written by Kamal Marwa.


 According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, the series takes place in the countryside of Kom Al Hajar in Alppo, which is a city in northern Syria. The lifestyle, the culture and political beliefs of the people in Kom Al Hajar will be played out in the series. The time period for the series will take place in the 1930’s.


 On a different note, Al Masri had just finished filming another role in a different drama series called “Thil Imra’ah” (A Woman’s Shadow). The series is written by Khaled Khalifa and produced by Nather Awad.

 

In the drama Al Masri plays the role of a woman called Umm Wael (Wael’s Mother), who gave everything she has in order to raise her kids and make them happy. She was always smiling and happy to be there for her kids. She tried her best to give them everything they asked for. Her only son Wael becomes blind in the series, which leads her to be very depressed and emotionally unstable.
