The Netherlands-Flemish Institute (NVIC) will screen the documentary Saudi Solutions.
A Dutch production, directed by Bregtje van der Haak, the documentary was released in 2006, and tackles the question of modernity and fundamentalism in Islam.
In Saudi Arabia, where filming is tightly restricted for social and religious reasons, Van Der Haak had special access that allowed her to film women working in different fields, revealing the lifestyles and attitudes of ambitious career-oriented women living in the conservative country.
NVIC regularly holds film screenings at it's premises as part of its NVICinema programme. Two other documentaries will be screened during February, Those Who Feel The Fire Burning and The Autism Ordeal.
