The star of the MBC program Who Wants to be a Millionaire, George Qerdahi, revealed that the September 11 attacks in the US States aborted a plan for his program to host Arab political stars.

The Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al Hariri, the Arab League Secretary General, Amr Mousa and other selected guests sent their regrets in the last moment as a result of the turbulence which the attacks caused.

Qerdahi talked to a press conference at Meridian Hotel in Kuwait Sunday during his visit to the country upon an invitation extended to him by the organizing committee of Hala February Festival. The conference was attended by an unprecedented large number of journalists at such festivals which confirmed the fact that Qerdahi won millions of admirers due to his contest program.

The star of the MBC program admitted that starhood is a matter of coincidence that may or may not be discovered. “To be discovered at a later stage is better than nothing,” added Qerdahi.

He ruled out the idea of acting and said that he lacked this talent and dismissed all the reports on that as baseless.

Qerdahi concluded that the dedication of his full time for the program spurred him to voluntarily leave the management of MBC Radio service. He admitted that the program caused him some concerns as to how long the audiences would continue to participate in it and what would be the steps that he should take after Who Wants to be a Millionaire? -- Albawaba.com
