Sharif Munir may be taking a break from working on the screen, but big things are happenin’ in his personal life. The Egyptian actor is happy to announce the arrival of his new granddaughter, Lara.
Sharif said his daughter had chosen the name of his latest descendent herself and denied any claims that he had something to with it. He added that it was the least of daughter’s rights to pick out the little one’s name.
In addition to his joyful announcement, Sharif apologized to fans for not showing his face on the screen this past Ramadan. There was just no script that grabbed his attention enough to go for it. He said he’s looking for a new role to work on, something that he’s never done before.
Jury is still out if he’s just making up excuses for not getting roles that he’s wanted, but we’ll give the ol’ man a break and just say, “Mabrouk” (Congrats) on this happy occasion.
Will we soon see Sharif on the screen, or will it be a good while before the actor finds the right gig? Please share with us your thoughts.
