The discoverer of the famous Egyptian singer Ruby, director Sharif Sabri has announced that the new singer which he lately discovered is called Munya. Rumor has it that Sabri is letting go of his most valuable discovery Ruby and will focus all his attention on Munya.
According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, Dr. Sharif Sabri made clear that his relationship, whether on a business or personal level, with Ruby is not eternal, yet he’ll always be by her side whenever she needs him. He also adds that both he and Ruby have reached a stage where they had to separate from one another. He goes on saying that he had discovered Ruby and made her a strong competing singer and the time has come for Ruby to rely on herself from now on.
On the other hand Ruby’s recent album was the last project that she worked on with Sharif. The album was not a great success, yet Sabri goes on defending it by saying Ruby’s last album was different in its style and its rhythms. Sharif also noted that the fact that the sales of the album were very low, is faced by many singers, since the record market isn’t doing so good these days. He also adds that the album was distributed in great numbers outside of Egypt.
Sabri will be working with Ruby on making a video clip for her song “Mali” from her last album.
