Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab has recently had a heated discussion in an interview with Wafaa Al Kilani, on her show “Qasr El Kalam” (Palace of Discussion).
Among the topics that were talked about was the fierce attack against Sherine for her support of Palestinian Mohammad Assaf, winner of season two of “Arab Idol,” and her lack of support for fellow Egyptian contestant Ahmad Jamal.
Sherine stressed that she's so sure of Assaf's talent, and despite the fact that Ahmad has a beautiful voice, he still needs some time to work on himself.
While in the hot seat, Sherine was questioned about rumors of her marriage to a man from the Gulf region. The star denied the news and assured fans that she's only one friend named “Ali” from that region.
She added that Ali and her were seen out and about at social events together, so people must have assumed that they're romantically-involved; something as far from the truth as could be, as he's just like a brother to her.
The honest starlet said that if she were to meet someone her fans would be the first to know about it, so they could be happy for her.
She may have some time for interviews, but how's the star spending the majority of her time at the moment? According the Middle East news portal Elaph, Sherine is busy busy busy recording songs for her upcoming album.
But Sherine still has time to fool around as a picture of her and Tuma proved. The Egyptian music producer posted pics of himself and Sherine on FB having fun in the recording studio, with the caption: “Me, Sherine and the XBOX.”
For her album, Sherine cooperated with a number of renowned poets and composers like Ayman Bahjat Qamar, Amir Tu'aymah, Khaled Taj El Din, Mohammad Yahia, Walid Saed, and many others.
