ALBAWABA - Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery after experiencing severe pain last night, immediately after breaking her fast, according to sources close to the prominent singer.
The sources told local media that "the artist's health condition necessitated her immediate hospitalization. She underwent the necessary medical examinations upon arrival, before doctors decided to perform gallbladder surgery due to the severe pain and health complications she was suffering."
Sources added that "Sherine Abdel Wahab is currently under close medical observation at the hospital, amid growing concern among her loved ones, especially after her condition was described as 'critical' in the initial hours of her admission."
The medical team overseeing her case is expected to provide an update on her health later today, Sunday, after completing the necessary medical procedures.
