Videos of the incident flooded social media, capturing Shia LaBeouf shirtless, attempting to provoke a fight with two men.
The Hollywood Reporter states, citing bar staff, that the actor has been on an "extended-weekend bar crawl" at different establishments around the city. Photos showed the actor receiving aid for minor injuries inside a closed-off ambulance.
According to a statement by New Orleans authorities, a man was "reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business."
