Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab denied circulating rumors that she will announce her engagement.

Shireen, who broke off her engagement last year to a businessman, said she has no intention of getting engaged again at this time.

The singer explained that she is usually attacked with such rumors when she is about to release a new album, and if she were to find the right man to marry, she would gladly publicly announce it, according to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan.

Shireen’s business manager, Egyptian producer and director Nasr Mahrous, confirmed that he intends to produce a new film especially for the singer.

Filming will begin in the upcoming months, but it is still too early to reveal the details of the film and its stars, explained Mahrous, but assured that it will include a number of performances by Shireen.

The film will mark Shireen’s return to the big screen after a long absence. The last film she appeared in was "Mido Mashakal" (Mido Trouble) alongside actor Ahmad Al Sakka.

Shortly after the release of her latest album "Lazem Eish" (I Have to Live), Shireen achieved the highest record sales of the summer season.
