Despite the recent scandal Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi and her husband are embroiled in, the singer has decided to return to the spotlight. The couple has been placed under investigation by Egyptian authorities and has been forbidden to leave Egypt.
Ehab and Shireen attempted to leave Egypt on their private chartered jet, but Egyptian authorities stopped them and seized their assets.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Shireen has made arrangements to hold New Year’s Eve concerts at leading Egyptian hotels, as a way of showing that the couple will stand strong despite all obstacles.
Her husband, Ehab Tal’at, owns one of the largest advertising agencies in Egypt and is the producer of the popular program “Al Bait Baitak” (Our Home is Your Home). The Egyptian television network is the party that has filed charges against him.
Shireen has been offered the leading role in a new film, but has yet to give her final decision.
