Look out for Soumaya Al Khashab's return to the limelight this summer in a new drama titled “Mirath Al Reeh” (Heir of the Wind), which she is currently filming with fellow Egyptian co-star Mahmoud Hamidah.
The series was originally to be aired last Ramadan, but due to filming issues with its director Youssef Sharaf Al Din, the show will be broadcast this Ramadan instead.
Both stars are returning to the silver screen following a two-year absence from Soumaya, and a staggering 22-year absence from Hamidah. WOW, we're expecting a cracker of a show then!
And if watching the talented starlet act isn't enough to satisfy your appetite for Soumaya, then you're in for a treat –Soum-Soum is working on a new album, to be sung in a Gulf accent no less, marking yet another comeback to the music scene.
Get set to see Soumaya in her own Ramadan TV show "Soumaya Wal Settat" (Soumaya and her Ladies), to be aired on Egyptian TV channel Al Kahera Wal Nas. Her holy month special was filmed over seven months around the Gulf, Egypt and Germany. Now that's what we call multitasking!
