They say keep your religious and political opinions to yourself to avoid drama, but Syrian stars Asala and Duraid Lahham have always made their opinions on such topics public.
Asala has been extremely vocal about her hatred for Syrian President Bashar Al Assad and his regime, while Duraid has been a great supporter of their president and his policies towards Syrian people during the ongoing war in Syria.
Naturally, the two have been at war for years for not seeing eye to eye, but Asala has now waved the white flag and is looking to rebuild her relationship with the iconic actor.
Asala posted an Instagram photo of Duraid and captioned it with a reconciliation letter.
"I'm sorry for what I said to you my dear father, my great uncle, legendary artist Duraid Lahham. Yes 'father,' I don't agree with your views on our country Syria, but I owe you so much, and despite forgetting that at the beginning of our feud, I haven't forgotten it now.
"You can't imagine how much I miss you and miss you listening to me sing. One one my biggest wishes is for us to meet again and go back to our simple, pure and deep conversations, under the umbrella of love and art, away from dispute and disagreement, for what bring us together is much more everlasting and classy than what made us fall out."
Asala also tagged Duraid in her post and included the hashtags #Asala and #apology.
