Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens... in the UAE, way before it will around the rest of the globe.

Yes Jedis and Siths, in this galaxy not so far away, the next episode of the infamous sci-fi will premiere on December 17, one day before the US (December 18)!

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated space opera franchise will hit UK theatres on December 19.

Arab Warsies will have to wait until 2016, with the movie premiering in Morocco on January 14 and in Egypt on January 15.

Surprisingly, Chinese fans will also have to wait until January 29, according to the IMDb dateline.

Parts of the latest Star Wars edition were filmed in the Abu Dhabi desert. The film's director, J. J. Abrams said that "Shooting in Abu Dhabi was an incredible thing. Shooting Star Wars is a Western and a fairy tale... shooting in Abu Dhabi was just that," according to The National.

The next blockbuster to be filmed on Emirati soil is Jackie Chan and Katrina Kaif's upcoming trilogy "Kung Fu Yoga."
