20th Century Fox says its Untitled Steven Spielberg project about the Pentagon Papers is now known as The Post.

Deadline.com said the title is a nod to The Washington Post's 1971 publication of classified documents regarding the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War.

Starring Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Pat Healy, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg and Bradley Whitford, the film was penned by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer.
