Syrian actor Amer al Subaie died from a heart attack on Monday night in Alexandria, reported Jo24.

Subaie often voiced his support for the Syrian revolution, and extreme anti-President Bashar al Assad views.

The late actor comes from a family of entertainers; his father is actor Rafeeq al Subaie, and his brother is director Seifeddine al Subaie, both of whom are strong supporters of Assad's regime.

Subaie was best known for his iconic roles as "Abu Naizak" in the TV series "Al Dabboor," and "Omar Afandi" in the TV drama "Ahel Al Raya."

Rest in peace, Amer.
