Syrian Film Tells Talented Blind Man’s Story

The Syrian director Nizar Darawesh is currently shooting a new TV film entitled Hikayet Bassir (The Story of a Foresight). 

Costarring in the film Husam Eid, Sulaf Fawakherji, Zuher Ramadan and others. 

The script which was written by Mansour Mansour, tells the story of a blind man who holds an MA degree in literature and works in teaching private lessons.  

He asked a number of girls to marry him but they turned him down because of his blindness. At the end of the film he succeeds in establishing a successful relationship with one of his neighbors who is able to see the human aspect in his personality.  

The director tries to make a distinction between blindness and foresight referring to the importance of foresight in the life of man. He said that the real blindness lies in the absence of the foresight – Albawaba.com
