Syrian actor Omar Hajjo passed away on Wednesday morning after a long battle with illness.
A recent image showed the deceased in a fragile state, after having lost a lot of weight due to his illness.
Hajjo was born in Aleppo in 1931. He was highly respected in his field as an actor and the founder of the Syrian Actors Union.
He was also the co-founder of the satirical political Alshawk Theater with fellow legendary Syrian actor Duraid Lahham.
Arab stars have already started paying their respects to the late actor's son, director Al Laith Hajjo, including actor Taim Hassan.
