Joining the bandwagon of celebs supporting "Tahia Masr" (Long Live Egypt), Lebanese singer Marwa said she is willing to hold concerts for free and donate all proceeds to the fund. The campaign to promote tourism was established by President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi in order to help revive Egypt's economy.
The Middle East news portal Elaph tells us that Marwa has already held two gigs to help promote tourism in Sharm El Sheikh and Ghardaqa, and she was happy to do it because she is grateful to Egypt and its people. The North African country has become a home away from home, a second country, for the star.
Recently, a special ceremony was held by the youth of the fund "Tahia Masr", and Marwa was presented with an honorary award. Traveling from Lebanon solely for the ceremony, Marwa said she was honored for the recognition. Egypt will remain the land of arts, culture and peace and no one can change that, she encouraged.
The busy artist has some private gigs to pay the bills too. She'll be performing at private weddings in Egypt and two concerts to keep the Eid Al Adha celebrators in the Muslim holiday spirit. And that's not to mention her acting skills. She also has two dramas on her slate, one Jordanian and another Egyptian.
