Egyptian comedian actor Talaat Zakaria revealed that he has been shunned from most of Egyptian dramas and films due to his support and admiration of ousted Egyptian President Husni Mubarak. He added that due to this fact he has decided to work with the Kuwaiti television and is currently busy preparing a new comedy show.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Talaat stated that most of the works he had completed for the Egyptian television were completely ignored and put aside to never see the light. He noted that his new show on the Kuwaiti television is titled “Tabkha wa Dahka” (A meal and a laugh) and is scheduled to be aired during the Ramadan season of 2012. The show is a light comedy and will be made into 30 episodes each episode lasting 20 minutes.
With regards to his support of the former Egyptian President, Talaat denied rumors that he had changed his mind about Mubarak. He stressed that Mubarak had covered all his medical expenses in France, where he had gone to be treated for a health ailment. Talaat said that everyone had turned their back on him while he was in France and only Mubarak took it on himself to pay all his bills refusing to leave him stranded.
