Egyptian actor Tamer Hosny is a role model for millions of boys, girls and adults across the Arab world.

The singer-actor is well-known for his humanitarian work and blood donation initiative.

But the 38-year-old artist has helped save one family from a life of drugs and sorrows.

In an TV interview on the talk show "Intabiho Ayyoha Al Sada" (Watch Out, Ladies and Gentlemen), an Egyptian mother-of-four said that Hosny has helped her drug-addicted sons with kicking the habit.

She told the show's presenter Hala Fakher that her children became addicted to drugs after someone intentionally slipped narcotics in their drinks without their knowledge.

The woman added that she has gone through a lot to try and get treatment for her kids, but it was way beyond her means.

When the woman couldn't afford to pay for her children's treatment, she reportedly headed over to Hosny's home and explained what her sons are going through.

That's when the kind-hearted star reportedly offered to help her pay for rehab for her four kids.
