The circulating pictures of Egyptian singer Tamer Husni kissing the hand and forehead of a Kuwaiti fan has given rise to controversy among the singer’s fans. Some praised the singer and others resented him especially since the girl appears crying in the picture.
Tamer had kissed the girl after she had presented him with a gift during his recent visit to Kuwait. Fans who saw the kiss as a sign of good gesture interpreted the girl crying a result of her happiness while others interpreted it otherwise.
This is considered to be the second time Tamer’s performance in Kuwait gives rise to great controversy. In 2008, Tamer held a concert and a young Kuwaiti woman had gotten on stage and kissed Tamer leading security officials to end the concert after an hour and ten minutes.
