The popular al fresco food, drink and music festival will return to Abu Dhabi this November with promises of more family and foodie fun at the Taste of Abu Dhabi in du Arena.
Taking place from November 5 to 7, international celebrity chefs Eric Lanlard, Valentine Warner, Suzanne Husseini and dynamic duo Steven Edwards and Joshua Stanzl are confirmed to headline the event.
The festival has also announced its first ever Premier Family Lounge which will add excitement to the tantalising line-up of 25 restaurants, new celebrity chefs and range of lively attractions.
Offering family-dedicated cooking demonstrations from top chefs, the lounge will also feature a delectable selection of treats including Arabic tea, coffee and dates, as well as a henna artist.
“The inaugural Taste of Abu Dhabi was a tremendous success,” said Chris Fountain, managing director of event organisers Turret Media. “The atmosphere was vibrant with 14,000 visitors and lots of families, and with this in mind we have added our first Premier Family Lounge to add an extra dimension to the event.
“And this year’s festival will see more restaurants, dishes and exhibitors, topped off with a new batch of world-class chefs and entertainment.”
Searing more flavour into the action-packed festival, visitors will be able to Taste their way around the world with 25 restaurants confirmed to showcase a variety of cuisines including Japanese, Arabic, South Indian, European and Italian. New restaurants include: Atayeb, Barocco, BOA, Prego’s, Royal Orchid Restaurant, Teatro and Zambar.
Visitors will enjoy live cooking demonstrations and lessons from celebrity chefs at the Chef’s Theatre and Cookery School, as well as a new specialist cheese and grape feature, VIP lounge and Kids Zone.
Serving up a musical treat, the Entertainment Stage will host an exciting line-up of bands, musicians and DJ’s including South African band 4THEMUSIC, popular quartet The Maple Jacks and UK-based Leading Lights Productions.
A number of sponsors have already come on board to ensure the event is a recipe for success including Landrover as the official co-sponsor and car partner, as well as Evian, Etihad Airways, Tavola, Yas Island as official destination partner and ADCB (Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank) as official bank partner.
Taste of Abu Dhabi will run from 4 – 11pm on Thursday, 12pm – 11pm on Friday and 12pm – 10pm on Saturday.
